These terms cover the Home Screens software, the sign-in helper at auth.homescreens.dev, and the homescreens.dev website, all made by the Home Screens project ("we"). By using them you agree to these terms.

1. The software

Home Screens is open-source software under the MIT License. The license decides what you may do with the code. These terms don't take any of those rights away.

2. Your hub, your responsibility

You run Home Screens on your own computer. You're responsible for that computer, your home network, the data you keep on it, and who can reach it. Set a password in Settings if other people use your network.

3. Services you connect

When you connect Google, Microsoft, a weather provider or any other service, you also agree to that service's terms, and you're responsible for using it within them. Services can change or stop working on their own schedule, and some features of Home Screens may stop working with them.

Home Screens offers a built-in way to connect Google Calendar and Google Photos without making your own Google app. It depends on Google's approval and on our sign-in helper being available. We may change, limit or stop it, for example if Google changes its rules or its prices. If that happens you can still connect with your own Google app, as described in the docs.

Don't use the sign-in helper for anything other than connecting your own Home Screens hub. That includes sending it high volumes of requests or using it with other software.

5. No warranty

Home Screens, the sign-in helper and the website are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, as the MIT License also says. We don't promise they'll be available, error free, or right for any particular use.

6. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of Home Screens, the sign-in helper or the website.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here and change the date at the top. Continuing to use the sign-in helper or the website after that means you accept the update.
